How do I get well-proportioned figures?
Today I answer you “how do I get well-proportioned figures?”
You often ask me about proportions. The truth is that sometimes it can be difficult until you start practicing and manage to internalize them.
I am going to tell you some ideas that can help you get well-proportioned figures and that are part of my process
Ideas to take into account:
An image or drawing: it is advisable to have an idea in mind to know what we want to do and how. You can draw a picture and use it as a reference to know where to go. That drawing will be your guide and your companion. In the case of my video tutorials, you will get a template with which to compare the shape and size and you won’t have to make drawings.
Scale: it is essential to weigh the pieces of your figure to make them the same size. For example, that both arms are equally large, or that one hand is no larger than one leg (unless required by the design). It is one of my basic tools, I always use it in my video tutorials with template, to be able to give you exact amounts and make it the same size as mine.
More ideas:
Trial and error: many times it is necessary to make a piece with different quantities in order to compare and know which quantity is the right one. Do you think the figures in my video tutorials are perfect on the first try? Nope.
The creation of one of my tutorials takes a lot of time since it is often a matter of choosing which version works best, so I have to repeat the pieces over and over again.
Order: from my experience, I think it is always better to follow an order when making a figure. We can’t start the house from the roof, so we won’t start the figure from the head. That is, we will start from the bottom and go up to be able to correct the proportions easily.
For example: legs too long, torso too small… In the same way I teach you how to make the figures in my video tutorials.
But if you still can’t get good results, you can save time and effort with my training. With them you won’t have to worry about repeating pieces, trying over and over again, drawing… I’ve done all that work for you and you’ll just have to do the tutorial with me. You can access all of them in the monthly subscription. There are more than 100!
I hope these tips on how to get well-proportioned figures are useful to you and you put them into practice.
